Summertime entertainment in Gordon's Alley, New Jersey's first pedestrian mall, kicked off on Friday, May 18, with the "It's The Good Ole Summertime" special event. The Boardwalk Living Theatre presented a concert featuring John Philip Sousa & His Marine Band and the 1920's Revue of "Rum Runners".

The Jim Crane Trio performed Cole Porter and George Gershwin selections, while the SeaChords Barbershop Quartet delighted all of those in attendance with their unique sound. Outdoor cafes at The Alley Cafe, CrocTails Tavern and Le Grand Fromage French Bistro provided food and refreshments. This event was sponsored by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, City of Atlantic City and the merchants and casinos of the Special Improvement District.

 

 

 

Smooth sounds, good food and drinks and a rockin' good time bought Gordon's Alley alive this summer with the "Arts in The Alley" concert series. This event, sponsored by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, City of Atlantic City and the Special Improvement District, featured a new and exciting band each Thursday afternoon.

Among the bands that performed on stage were The Voodoo Babies (Top Left). The Element, The Party Guys, Johnny D'Angelo Jazz Ensemble (Bottom Right), Angela Burton & Passion,

Eddie Morgan's REK'D 4 JAZZ, Too Bad Jim and many others.

The "Arts in The Alley" concert series offered entertainment for residents and visitors while promoting businesses throughout the Special Improvement District.

The Le Grand Fromage French Bistro, Alley Cafe and CrocTails Tavern offered lunch and beverages during the free two-hour concert's at their respective outdoor cafes along Gordon's Alley.
