In June, the Environmental Services Division set out to revitalize the gazebo located in Center City Park (left). Flower boxes, which were old and showing years of neglect, were brought back to their original form.

Next, the gazebo received a fresh coat of white paint, while the Landscaping Division filled the newly renovated flower boxes with colorful flowers and soil. Lastly, the gazebo was trimmed with the colors of red and blue.

The Courtesy Patrol provided security for the 2002 RNS Show House at the Shore, located at Gilda's Club of South Jersey on North Carolina Avenue and Route 30. Iris Torres and John Pirillo (right, in the Show House's playground) shared duties throughout the week. Pirillo worked Saturday through Thursday from 9 a.m. -5 p.m. (9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays) and monitored both houses, removed trash and watered flowers along with roving security. Torres also provided roving security, as well as tours of both houses to visitors, on Fridays.
The Landscaping Division added another
piece of impressive cutting machinery
to its lineup this summer.
The Toro Groundsmaster wide area
mower (second mower from left) features
a 72-inch cut, thus enabling more
grass to be cut in a smaller amount of time.
