The Economic Development Division of ACSID holds many special
events throughout the year to attract residents and visitors to our
downtown: fireworks displays, holiday festivals, Halloween hayrides,
cultural events and much more. From July through September, the
special events team brings live music and Jersey fresh produce to Center City Park every week.

The Atlantic City Farmers Market in Center City Park (Atlantic Avenue
at North Carolina) is held every Thursday and Saturday in season.
Featuring local produce, flower and craft vendors, the open air market
is further enhanced by the addition of live, local music each Thursday.
Visitors may purchase fresh fruits and juices, vegetables, herbs, honey, crafts and fresh flowers while supporting the local economy.

On Thursday, September 1, the Atlantic City Farmer's Market will be
honored with a visit from Charles Kuperas, New Jersey's Secretary of
Agriculture. Please join us in the park to welcome Mr. Kuperas and
enjoy the tastes and sounds of the Atlantic City Farmer's Market.
The Economic Development Division's Facade Improvement Program is currently working on several projects to improve the look and raise the commercial appeal of our downtown business district.

Our second full city block project, located on Atlantic Avenue between North Boston and Sovereign avenues (right), is moving ahead quickly. Work is expected to be completed shortly, with changes to the facade appearing daily.
Construction continues at Omar and Abdullah's Hair Bazaar, located at 1208 Atlantic Avenue. Photos (left) show the building prior to construction, a current view and the rendering of the new facade.
