On Saturday, August 20th, the City dedicated a memorial to the fishermen of Atlantic City who have been lost at sea. The memorial is located in Fisherman's Park at the corner of Massachusetts and
Maine Avenues, a beautiful bay-front park maintained and landscaped by ACSID's own Landscaping Division.

The memorial reads:

THIS MEMORIAL IS DEDICATED
TO THE POSTHUMOUS MEMORY
OF ALL FISHERMEN THAT HAVE BEEN
LOST AT SEA.
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.

" THEY THAT GO DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS"

DEDICATED ON
THE TWENTIETH DAY OF AUGUST 2005
The area in front of the Peter Maxx mural (Florida Avenue and the Boardwalk) received a facelift thanks to the trees, plants and mulch recycled from the renovation of Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant this week.
Wherever possible, ACSID recycles plant material, fencing, benches, trash cans and other items for use in new projects, saving money and lessening the burden on local landfills.
North Carolina Avenue between Atlantic and Pacific received a facelift last week. Overgrown trees were trimmed back and the beautifully landscaped center island was also attended to.

This is one of several corridors ACSID's Landscaping Division currently maintains. Others include the Expressway corridor, Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Delaware Avenue, and Rhode Island Avenue.
