The Environmental Services Division has been busy keeping the streets of Atlantic City litter free, while maintaining many other aspects of the city's charm and beauty at the same time. Environmental Services employee Joanne Pirillo gave the gazebo in O'Donnell Park (left) a patriotic facelift when she painted it red, white and blue in late September.

Mayo James Whelan stopped by to wish all in attendance
a happy holiday. Councilmen Dennis Mason donated several Easter gift baskets that were filled with candy, games, toys
stuffed animals and other delightful treats and goodies. In all,
22 baskets were won by children, who after meeting Mr. Bunny received an egg and a chance at winning one of the 22 baskets. Superintendent of Recreation Jackie Preston and the Atlantic City Youth Services painted nearly a hundred decorative wooden flowers.

Bus shelters throughout the city were routinely power washed (right), cleaned and touched up with fresh coats of paint (left).

The Courtesy Patrol Division assists with many of the special events that are organized throughout the city during the year. The guided tour, which was open by invitation only to local dignitaries, politicians, and executives, visited nearly a dozen historical sites, such as the Masonic Temple, Westside
All Wars Memorial Building, St. Augustine's Episcopal Church and Pop Llyod Stadium. Local historians Sid Trusty and Richlyn Goddard provided insight into the historical significance of the African-American heritage in Atlantic City.
