The 4th annual Halloween Haunted Hayride provided fun for all on a beautiful fall afternoon on Sunday, October 27 in O'Donnell Park. Sponsored by the city of Atlantic City, Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, 5th Ward Councilman Dennis Mason, and the merchants and casinos of the Special Improvement District, this year's Halloween festival featured tasty treats and entertaining games.

Horse-drawn carriage rides once again trotted through the park, inflatable jumpers let children bounce and flip, pumpkin painting brought out the creativity in many and prizes were awarded to lucky attendees, while those with a sweet-tooth were satisfied with candy, popcorn and apple cider.

Several student volunteers from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey donated their time to this event by helping with the many games and distribution of candy and popcorn. Those volunteering their time were: Liz Hoens, Vinnie Pizzimenti, Scott Ackerman, Koffi Ayi, Sharon Thiel, Melinda Smith and local resident Jamee Johnson.

Set for its grand opening next summer, the Borgata Resort, Spa & Casino spent the day reaching out to Atlantic City's residents by allowing job seekers to apply for available jobs at a table set up at the festival.

The sites and sounds of the Philadelphia Mummers filled the air along the Atlantic City Boardwalk in mid-September as the Atlantic City Boardwalk Sunset Strut Parade (below) made its way down the world-famous wooden walkway.

The parade, which was held on three consecutive evenings from Tuesday, September 17, through Thursday, September 19, featured local favorite Mr. Peanut and a stilt walker, who entertained both young and old alike for a 30-block stretch from the Showboat Casino Hotel on New Jersey Avenue down to the Hilton Casino Resort on Albany Avenue.

The Boardwalk Sunset Strut Parade was sponsored by the city of Atlantic City, Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, and the merchants and casinos of the Special Improvement District.
