The City Council of Atlantic City honored three Special Improvement District employees during a council meeting on Wednesday, October 23 for "making significant contributions to the quality of life in the community."

Environmental Services Manager Dan Pirillo, Economic Development Assistant Manager Cynthia Hammond and Landscaping Manager Jon Bitzer (pictured left to right) were recognized by 5th Ward Councilman Dennis Mason.

Resolution #806 states that City Council formally "recognizes Jon Bitzer, Dan Pirillo and Cynthia Hammond for serving the citizens and visitors of Atlantic City by going out of their way on many occasions to make positive contributions to our community by making sure streets/sidewalks are clean, by removing graffiti from buildings, landscaping parks/playgrounds, providing benches/trash cans and assisting wards with special events during Easter, Halloween and Christmas."
