restaurants. Major retail outlet stores, such as Nautica, Levi's, Wilson's Leather, Timberland and Tommy Hilfiger will offer residents and visitors a variety of shopping choices.

Located primarily along Michigan Avenue between Atlantic and Baltic avenues, The Walk (left) will promote a fun atmosphere with creative and colorful facades, signage and storefront designs. Plazas, fountains, whimsical kiosks and environmental graphics will add to the charm. A summer 2003 grand opening is scheduled.

The Quarter at Tropicana Casino Resort (right) is a 200,000-square-foot Latin-themed indoor dining, entertainment and retail complex that will feature "the glitz of Las Vegas, excitement of Old Havana and sophistication of Europe." Phase 2 of this project will involve the construction of a 502-room hotel tower and 2,400-space parking garage. The hotel tower, which will cater to conventions and meetings, will come complete with a 20,000-square-foot meeting/convention facility and a top floor that will be dedicated to board rooms and hospitality suites with an ocean view.

Located along Pacific Avenue between Brighton and Iowa avenues on a 3.5-acre lot, the $225 million project will be linked to the existing building via a 130-foot-wide connector bridge across Pacific Avenue. A March 1, 2004 grand opening is scheduled. Also, Tropicana Casino Resort is currently undertaking a $15 million Boardwalk facade enhancement. The new facade will be transformed to match The Quarter's Latin theme and will entail renovating the entire retail and gaming space, as well as two buffet restaurants.

Showboat Casino Hotel, Atlantic City's Mardi Gras casino, is currently constructing a $90 million, 19-story, 544-room hotel tower. When completed in June 2003, Showboat's new hotel tower (left) will expand the casino's room capacity to 1,309 rooms, making it the city's third largest in hotel-room availability. Also, Showboat is considering constructing a third hotel tower and a bus parking area on two adjacent tracts of land known as the Uptown Renewal Tract. The land is located between Connecticut and Maryland
