Bright blues, radiant reds and shiny yellows were transformed
from just colors inside of a round paint can into a beautiful display of architectural craftsmanship highlighted by the stunning strokes-of-the-hand.

Environmental Services Supervisor Jorge Velez let his hands do the magic as four remaining window arches (left), out of six altogether, were brought back to life on a building adjacent to Rotary Plaza at South Carolina Avenue. The colors blend with Rotary Plaza's look of blue, yellow, red and white.

Velez also was instrumental in constructing and painting a new wooden platform, refurbishing Santa Claus' chair, painting Santa's candy pot, as well as repainting and redecorating the "Letters to Santa" mailbox (right) for the annual Downtown Winter Wonderland special event.

The Environmental Services Division continues to keep the City of Atlantic City clean on a daily basis throughout the year. Street sweepers now make numerous daily trips in and around the city's newest shopping and entertainment complex, Atlantic City Outlets - The Walk (left).

Bike Patrol members Arthur Dennis (left) and Al Prather (right) patrol the district.

The District Ambassadors Division, formerly the Courtesy Patrol Division, was formed in order to make the city's streets safer and friendlier and to improve the overall business district environment. The ambassadors are comprised of four distinct entities: Bike Patrol, Information Gazebos, Corridor Rangers and People Mover. The ambassadors are trained to answer visitor's questions, respond promptly to various needs and to provide light security throughout the district, thus promoting a safer and friendlier Atlantic City for all.

In November of 2003, the District Ambassadors Bike Patrol began providing light security throughout the area of the Atlantic City Outlets - The Walk along Michigan Avenue between Atlantic and Baltic avenues daily from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
